Highland Lakes is a gated, 55+ community situated in Central Florida just south of Leesburg.  Our community resides in a beautiful location with several small lakes, natural wetlands, and open grounds that enable our homeowners to observe the wonderful local wildlife.  We are near the Florida Turnpike granting easy access to Orlando airport and other tourist attractions but far enough away to enjoy the quiet natural surroundings.  Residents enjoy the serenity, along with benefit from peace of mind with their gated access.  

 

Highland Lakes consists of 938 homes and villas with a recreational clubhouse that includes a large arena, exercise room, library, kitchen, billiard room, craft room, and meeting rooms. The community also provides a variety of amenities for its homeowners such as indoor (heated) and outdoor pools, tennis courts, pickleball courts, shuffleboard courts, bocce ball courts, horseshoe pits, picnic pavilion, nature trail, golf driving range, free RV and boat storage, wood crafters building and softball field.  Also, there are over fifty activities and committees to choose from, allowing residents to become as active and involved with their community as they like.

 

Our Property Owners Association is governed by a Board of Directors, elected annually by the homeowners. The Association is financially sound and maintains sufficient reserve accounts insuring common grounds and facilities have funds available for upkeep and replacement to keep Highland Lakes beautiful.
